A Jal All School reunion is scheduled for Labor Day Weekend, Friday and
Saturday, September 2 and 3, 2011.
All classes from 1936 through current are invited.
Due to lack of facilities in Jal , the reunion will
be held at the
MCM Grande Hotel FunDome
(not to be confused with another hotel the MCM Elegante) in
Odessa
on Labor Day Weekend,
Friday, September 2 (1:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. CDT) and Saturday 3 (9:00 a.m. -
12:00 a.m. CDT).
It will be very relaxed and unstructured. The
FunDome is just about 15 minutes west of the Midland airport on old Highway 80.
To help defray the cost of postage, room rentals,
sound system, beverages and snacks the registration fee is $20.00 per
person.
In addition to the meeting room there is a large atrium
area, a restaurant and a small lounge.
Visiting will start at 1:00 p.m. CDT Friday
If you stay at the FunDome, a free breakfast is
provided each morning from 6-9 a.m.
On Sunday morning there is a brunch buffet from 10
a.m.-2 p.m. that cost $14.99 for adults. Toby’s lounge is open from 4:30 p.m. -
2:00 a.m. and provides complimentary drinks to Fundome guests from 5:30 to 7
p.m.
The restaurant hours are 6 a.m.-2 p.m. and 5-10 p.m.
The Jal Panthers are playing the Wink Wildcats Friday night, September 2, at
8:00 CDT in Wink if anyone is interested in seeing some Jal Blue and Gold.
Everyone is responsible for making their own room
reservations and dining arrangements wherever they prefer.
The hotel is catering snacks, coffee and tea, no
outside food is allowed.
No formal lunch or dinner will be served.
A block of rooms has been reserved at the MCM
FunDome so tell the clerk that you are with the Jal All School Reunion.
If anyone is interested in organizing a golf match, the
golf courses are listed on the bottom of the registration form.
You will be responsible for getting your group
together and setting up tee times.
If anyone wants to stay over, Sunday might be a
good day for that or Friday if you come early.
Please share this information with anyone you think may be
interested -
parents, brothers, sisters, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Anyone is welcome but no correspondence is being
sent except to classes who have volunteer class representatives
Pre-registering would help us with a head count but
it isn't necessary, we just want you there.
E-mail and Facebook are great tools for finding former classmates and spreading
the word but don't forget those who don't have access to computers.
We aren't getting any younger so we need to take advantage
of every chance we get to visit with old friends and to make new ones.
